Room Acoustic Analysis in the Cloud

MK3 is a research and development-oriented company specialized in room acoustics offering acoustic consultancy and design, as well as performing acoustic measurements. Abinsula is specialized in development of embedded devices, cloud computing and development of digital services. In this bilateral Tetramax collaboration we’ve managed to develop RAAC – the online service that performs room acoustic analysis in the cloud.
With RAAC it is possible to perform room acoustic measurements with minimal equipment – a smartphone and a “loud enough” loudspeaker. As such, MK3 obtained a useful tool that facilitates day to day acoustic measurements. With some limitations, RAAC is as well available to the general public, meaning that acoustic enthusiasts can perform acoustic analysis also on their own.

The main result from the RAAC bilateral TTX project is the established online service available at soundprof that produces an acoustic analysis report.
The service is currently freely available meaning that the general public benefits from it and acoustic enthusiast can perform acoustic analysis on their own.

It stands out for its ability to create custom software and hardware based on customer needs, for outstanding data management systems connected to an excellent use of telemetry, a technology used in several sectors, from automotive to energy, for data transmission and monitoring.
